Care Plans

Care Plan Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to H&H Autocare Essential, Complete and Total Care Plans.

1. About the Care Plans

H&H Autocare Care Plans are designed to help customers spread the cost of routine vehicle servicing and maintenance while receiving additional benefits depending on the plan selected.

A Care Plan is not an insurance policy, breakdown policy, warranty or mechanical repair plan. Unless specifically stated as included, the cost of repairing faults, replacing worn components or carrying out additional work remains the customer's responsibility.

2. Available Plans

Essential Care

  • MOT and service reminders
  • Vehicle maintenance record
  • 1 x Oil & Filter Service per 12-month plan period

Complete Care

£19.99/month

  • 1 x Full Service per 12-month plan period
  • 1 x Diagnostic Scan per 12-month plan period
  • 15% off eligible labour

3. Minimum Term

Care Plans have a minimum initial term of six months. Payments are collected monthly using the payment method agreed when the plan is started.

4. Qualifying Periods

Care Plans are designed to spread the cost of routine vehicle maintenance. Included servicing benefits are therefore subject to qualifying periods.

  • Essential Care Oil & Filter Service becomes available after three consecutive monthly payments.
  • Complete Care Interim Service becomes available after three consecutive monthly payments.
  • Total Care Full Service becomes available after six consecutive monthly payments.

The customer's account must be fully up to date before an included servicing benefit can be used.

Where a service is required before the applicable qualifying period has been completed, H&H Autocare may allow the service to be carried out where the customer pays an agreed contribution or outstanding qualifying amount in advance.

5. What's Included in a Service

The exact service schedule depends on the vehicle, mileage, age and manufacturer requirements. Specialist oils, unusually high oil capacities, specialist filters and manufacturer-specific components may carry an additional charge.

H&H Autocare will advise the customer before carrying out any additional chargeable work.

6. Repairs and Wear Items

Care Plans do not automatically cover repairs or replacement components identified during servicing or inspection, including brakes, tyres, suspension, batteries, clutches, exhaust components, timing components, engine repairs, gearbox repairs or electrical repairs.

7. Diagnostic Scan

Where included, the annual diagnostic scan provides an initial electronic diagnostic scan. Extended fault-finding, wiring investigation, component testing, dismantling or repair may be charged separately.

8. Labour Discounts

Complete Care customers receive 10% off eligible H&H Autocare labour charges, up to a maximum total discount of £100 during each 12-month plan period.

Total Care customers receive 15% off eligible H&H Autocare labour charges, up to a maximum total discount of £150 during each 12-month plan period.

Labour discounts apply to eligible H&H Autocare labour only and do not apply to parts, MOT test fees, third-party charges, subcontracted work, recovery charges, specialist services, servicing already included within the Care Plan, or work already subject to another discount or promotional offer.

Where more than one H&H Autocare discount is available, the customer may use the most beneficial eligible discount, but discounts cannot normally be combined.

9. Pre-Existing Faults

A Care Plan does not cover faults, damage or maintenance requirements that existed before the plan started.

10. Missed Payments

Care Plan benefits may be suspended where a payment is missed, reversed or remains outstanding. Benefits will normally become available again once the account is brought fully up to date.

11. Cancellation and Benefits Already Used

Care Plans have a minimum initial term of six months. Customers may request cancellation at any time, subject to the minimum term and any statutory cancellation rights that apply.

If a customer cancels after receiving an included service or other benefit whose normal retail value exceeds the Care Plan payments made towards that benefit, H&H Autocare may charge the reasonable outstanding difference between the payments received and the normal value of benefits already supplied.

Any adjustment will take account of payments already received and H&H Autocare will not charge twice for the same service or benefit.

This provision is intended to prevent a Care Plan being used solely to obtain a reduced-price service followed immediately by cancellation.

12. Unused Benefits

Unused annual benefits have no cash value, cannot normally be transferred and do not automatically accumulate indefinitely.

13. Vehicle Changes and Eligibility

Care Plans apply to the registered vehicle. H&H Autocare may allow a plan to transfer to a replacement vehicle, subject to vehicle type, servicing requirements and any difference in servicing cost.

14. Mobile Appointments

Appointments are subject to technician availability, safe working conditions, suitable vehicle access, weather, parts availability and the nature of the work required.

15. Customer Responsibilities

Customers remain responsible for keeping their vehicle safe and roadworthy, responding to warning lights, checking basic fluid and tyre condition and arranging servicing when due.

16. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Where a Care Plan is purchased online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, customers will normally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning from the date the contract is entered into, where required by applicable UK consumer law.

If the customer expressly asks H&H Autocare to begin providing a service during that cancellation period, the customer may be required to pay a reasonable amount for services actually supplied before cancellation, where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes statutory rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

17. Changes to Care Plans

H&H Autocare may update Care Plan pricing, benefits or these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary. Existing customers will be given reasonable notice of any material change affecting their ongoing plan.

Changes will not retrospectively remove a benefit that a customer has already become entitled to and booked, provided their account remains in good standing.
